This work is about my arachnophobia. I drew my hands holding the thing that makes me nervous. 

Hands in the light, darkness around - there is only me and my phobia. 

The threads on the fingers attach to some of the spider's legs - my pathetic attempts to control irrational fear.

 The same threads are used to tie the wrists - torpor.

 The blue color at the top of the picture is a chill running down the back.

 Red shades of the background - a feeling of burning in those places of the hands where the spider's legs touch the skin.
